Thursday Trend Day | Gifts That Give Back | The Little Market

Hello Lovelies!

Since yesterday I showed you a few of the things on my wish list, today I wanted to feature the perfect gifts for the loved ones in your life. Lauren Conrad and her friend Hannah have recently launched a new company called The Little Market, and when you purchase any of the items you are not only buying a beautifully handcrafted piece, but you are helping to support artisans in developing countries!

Here is what Lauren and Hannah have to say about their new social enterprise: "We created The Little Market to give artisans the opportunity to reach a broader audience and to give you the opportunity to purchase special pieces while directly supporting the artisans who made them. Each product you find here was responsibly crafted with integrity and pride, while providing an income for local artisans to care for themselves and their families."

Sounds like the perfect place to shop for the family! They have gifts that range from beautiful home decor, to baby toys, to accessories! Gift while giving back!

Thursday Trend Day | Valery Joseph Salon Charity Event | Locks of Love

Hello Lovelies!

We found the perfect way to get a free and fabulous new haircut, while giving back!

The exclusive Valery Joseph Salon in Manhattan will be providing free haircuts every Sunday and Wednesday, starting in October. All hair will be donated to Locks of Love for breast cancer awareness month.

Details are as follows:
  • Free haircuts beginning Wednesday, October 2nd until Wednesday, October 30th
  • Guests must have 10” or longer of hair that will be donated to Locks of Love
  • Will only be at the Valery Joseph Salon at their 1044 Madison Avenue location

Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. The organization uses donated ponytails to make high quality hairpieces for these amazing children.

This is such an amazing opportunity to take advantage of getting a free hair cut a high end hair salon, while also helping to better the quality of life of sick children.
