A Real New York Engagement | MaKenzie + Chris's Madison Square Engagement Shoot

Today we're featuring MaKenzie and Chris's engagement shoot by Jessica Schmitt Photography. I love that this couple wanted to incorporate their dog with matching outfits, of course!
This is what Jessica had to say about their shoot, "Makenzie and Chris are fun and funky and wanted a shoot that would express their colorful personalities. Madison Square's art instillation "Mad. Sq. Art 2013, Orly Genger: Red, Yellow, and Blue" was the perfect spot! The waves of rope create a whimsical wonderland in the middle of the city. The couple brought along their pet dog, Lucy to make it extra personal."

A Real New York Wedding | Jennifer + Penny's Liberty Warehouse Wedding

Hello Lovelies!

Today we are featuring the gorgeous wedding of Jennifer and Penny, captured by Ariane Moshayedi Photography. It took place in the beautiful Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn. What a perfect backdrop to a beautiful day!

Here is more from the bride Jenn: "When I first visited Liberty Warehouse  I was sold. I loved the the rawness of the location and the industrial surroundings, with partially submerged concrete bluffs slipping quietly into the water and steel shuttered windows from it's original incarnation in the 1850's. I loved the wide, openness of the promenade that surrounded the entire space, and the views of The Statue of Liberty, lower Manhattan, and the cranes and shipping containers all visible within a 90 degree turn.

Inside, I was warmed by the simplicity of exposed materials: beams across the ceiling, gas lines, red brick walls with original fireplaces, the wooden floors, and the windows, windows, windows. That is what I loved the most: the ability to appreciate the outdoors from indoors. I wanted a space that didn't let you forget where you were, that made you want to look outside, or go outside, as so many people did. "

Jenn described it perfectly! We love the antique car, the pastel flowers, and all of the brick!

"Theo lives in New York and Elitza in Germany. And while some long distance relationships can be tricky sometimes, these two made it work. On August 30th they tied the knot here in New York at the City Clerk’s Office. Afterwards we met up and strolled around the city where we had fun photographing their wedding photos in front of the Flatiron Building, Madison Square Park, The Highline, Times Square and Grand Central Station. What an amazing day…"
