Happy Friday | Congrats and Best Wishes to all the Brides & Grooms | And a few last tips

Hello Lovelies!

Happy Friday, and for the lovelies getting ready for their big day a special early congrats.
Here are some last tips from me that I hope I can share with you for the last time.

1. BREATHE yes, I know duh, but really. Things may go wrong and it most likely will but trust that you did everything you could and now is not the time to freak out or obsess over it. Plus most likely no one will even notice but you. So just breathe and move on to enjoying your day.

2. BE IN THE MOMENT it flies by and if you are not in the moment you will miss it! Try to enjoy every last minute don't let anything or anybody ruin that. This day is going to be one of the fastest day you have ever experienced and with all the planning and preparation you want to make sure you soak it all up. After all it is all about you this time!

3. SMILE ok, another obvious one, but you have to realize that this is one of the only days that you will be constantly photographed by not just the pro you hired but by all your guests too. And you do not want any ugly picts of you looking not so well, cute. So do as the Kardashians do and smile girl and play up the paparazzi :)

Enjoy!

Thursday Trend Day | Bridesmaid Dresses | Bridal Clash

Image sources via Pinterest
Hello Lovelies!

Today I am sharing with you the latest trend in bridesmaid dresses. Simply explained it's having your bridesmaid dresses not match. Your bridesmaids can wear a similar soft palette or shade to have a soft look. Or the same color but different dresses all together or a mix of both. I personally love the soft palette version or having them all in the same color with different styles. But I do recommend trying this trend only if you have a large bridal party of more than 4 or 5 especially if you want your ladies sporting different looks. Somewhere there are bridesmaids screaming for joy at this trend since it allows for everyone to pick a style that fits them best.
What do you think ladies are you loving this bridal clash? Or will you be skipping it?
Let me know!

Jessica & Mike's Pizza Cooking Engagement Photo Shoot

Thank you to Feuza Reis Photography for submitting this amazing photoshoot! I LOVE this idea of having a cook off for your engagement photos.

Here is more from Feuza: The couple opted for doing what they loved to do best together, cook. They actually have a cooking club with their friends where once every few months they decide on a theme, pick a house and each couple is assigned a dish, they even have a scrapbook and mascot. I had so much fun shooting their lifestyle engagement session because I love when couples incorporate who they truly are in their engagement and wedding day.

Happy Fall | Michelle & Miguel's Engagement Photoshoot | A Real Fall Engagement Photo shoot in Central Park

Happy Fall! I wanted to start out with this pretty engagement photo shoot submitted by the talented Kimberly Chau Photography! Here is more from Kimberly: Michelle + Miguel met their senior year of college at New York University. They had known of each other since their freshman year, but didn't really start talking until their last year at NYU. And when they began to notice each other and have conversations, they couldn't stop talking and hanging out with one another. :) I had the great opportunity to fly out to New York for Michelle + Miguel's engagements! They are getting married this October in Connecticut and I cannot wait to travel to the east coast for their wedding!

Thursday Trend Day | Prohibition Bakery | Boozie Cupcakes

Today we got some yummy, boozie wedding trends to serve ya!
Wait for it... yes it's boozie cupcakes! I know! Right here in NYC, Prohibition Bakery is whipping up some oh so yummy cupcakes with fun names like White Russian and Sex on the beach!

Here is more form Brooke and Leslie, co-owners of Prohibition Bakery: We got started in 2011 after we met in January of that year.  We've been on the catering scene up until we opened the store this week.  We only make mini alcoholic cupcakes--no red velvet or vanilla here.  Our best seller is the Pretzels & Beer.  Brooke's favorite is the margarita and Leslie's favorite is the Sangria.
Our cupcakes are a fantastic option for brides. They are bite sized, beautiful, and sophisticated.  They are also significantly cheaper than a wedding cake, and tend to please a larger array of palates.  We have brides who like to have us incorporate a favorite beer or spirit, or perhaps one that will be featured at the wedding.

What do you think ladies will you be boozing it up at your bridal shower or wedding with these cupcakes? I know I will be heading downtown for a few myself for umm... happy hour?

A Real New York Wedding Engagement Photoshoot | Amy & Derek

Loving this engagement shoot submitted by the amazing Turnquist Photography!
Here is more from the photographer: We absolutely fell in love w/ this couple as soon as we met up with them near their apartment in NYC. She's an elementary school teacher who fell in love with a man who still loves Spiderman. We had so much fun hanging out & getting to know their story a little more. We started in a park nearby their apartment where Derek proposed to Amy. We got a photo of the exact chess bench he popped the question. Then we roamed around the streets where Derek had all he could do to contain himself from "shooting out the web" from his wrist. Got a few shots of that in his spidey t-shirt none the less. So Fun!

A Classic Real Wedding | The New York wedding of Amanda and Jeff

I love this real wedding submitted by the very talented Zac Wolf Photography.
I love all the romantic photos and how happy the couple looks! And oh yes the shoes!!!

Here is more from Zac: We were blessed with not only beautiful weather but it was at the gorgeous Temple Shaaray Tefila which is not just a massive and beautiful synagogue but it is also where Amanda’s father resides as Head Rabbi. I am stoked to have shot this wedding; even mentally revisiting the moment they first saw each other brings a huge smile to my face. David gave one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have ever seen and I was 100% tearing up while shooting (even more so than normally). In addition to that the band was great and had people dancing all night long. Also, one of the craziest hora’s I’ve ever been trapped in. Every single person at the wedding was having a blast and had a huge smile on their face. What more can I say, candy buffet, dancing, love, family, couches, awesome. I loved this wedding, I love my family. I am very proud to share images of this amazing day with everyone.

A Real Wedding in NYC | Brie & Evan's Battery Park Gardens Wedding | A Pink Modern Wedding

I'm loving this pink and black wedding with luxury details photographed by the amazing Christopher Duggan Photography!
Here is more from Christopher: Brie & Evan had so much fun getting married—the entire day was filled with laughter.
Evan is a theater director, actor and acting teacher, and Brie sings, dances and acts, so both bride and groom added some theatrical elements to their wedding. Evan quoted Shakespeare in his vows to Brie. They cut the cake with a sword. And Brie performed for Evan, singing “Making Love out of Nothing at All” by Air Supply.
Brie performs along with groomsmen on rock band
Battery Gardens is a beautiful place for a wedding, both indoors and out, and I really enjoyed photographing the happy bride and groom in such a fantastic venue.
